The Joy of the Lord

Psalm 126:2
Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.

"When babies smile, it's because the angels are talking to them."
~Edith Mae Michaelson~
This quote was recently shared with Alyssa by my Grandmother also named Lelia. She is Amiyah's Great-Great Grandmother on my mom's side of our family.
Edith was my Grandma's Mom who has been deceased since I was little.
To Amiyah, Edith is her Great-Great-Great Grandmother.
Amiyah started smiling when Great-Great Grandma was holding her and when she told Alyssa what her Mom used to say about smiling babies, there were tears in the eyes of my almost 80 year old Grandma.
Very precious moment.

Dear Lord,
I have no idea what runs through a baby's mind, if anything, or if its just muscle spasms tugging at the corners of their mouth. Perhaps Grandma Edith was right and the angels are talking to them.
Whatever it is that makes a baby smile, may you see the same expression on my face when I think of You.
Pure, innocent joy.
Love,
Lelia

Hi Lelia,
Thanks for visiting my blog. I am going to try to keep it up this time.
Please let me know how your Salmon cakes turn out. Last week I didn't have any green pepper, so I just made them without and they were just as good.
I have a couple more recipes to add, but I have to find the time;-)
I will bookmark your blog and when I get to sit with the computer a little longer, I will take more time to read it.
Have a great day..

Oh, sooo precious! What a happy little baby :D Must be surrounded by angels.

Little baby noses are just about the cutest thing ever...it's so crazy that we all start out so small. What a miracle!

Blessings,
Sam

Oh my gosh, I can't believe she is smiling already. Those angels must be telling her a joke. lol She is just adorable!!

I have to tell you, I am a little envious (not that I want any of my girls to reproduce right now but oh to have a sweet little girl to hold and love on....)
I know I don't have to tell you how lucky you are! Enjoy your blessing.

Love,
Kelley

She is a doll and I would have loved to had that much hair to fix when mine where little!

To bad we can't make a scratch and sniff on her picture, because NOTHING smells as good as a new baby! (Especially if you use baby magic!)

A baby well-loved finds his/her smile with ease. A baby well-embraced finds his/her security for all eternity. As it is with our earthly "loves and embraces", so it is with our heavenly pilgrimage. How thankful I am this day for the love and embrace of my Father.

Be blessed in your calling to love her and to embrace her with arms that reach long and high and wide and deep.

Leila - She is absolutely adorable. You just mustn't be able to get enough of her!

How do you get anything else done?! Or even have time to blog?! She is just so captivating. I'm sure all you want to do is sit and look at her.
