I'm Here!

Please Welcome
Our Blessing

Amiyah Elizabeth Chealey
7lbs. 8oz.
19 3/4 "

Birthday:
April 9, 2008
3:18pm

Nine months ago hearing that I was going to be a Grandma was life changing news.

Life changing because the future I saw for my teenage daughter was instantly changed. Different forever.

Seeing Miss Amiyah enter this world yesterday I once again saw my daughter's future instantly changed.
Different forever.

All of a sudden Alyssa's life has more beauty, happiness, love, hope and promise in it.

Amiyah Elizabeth

Seven pounds eight ounces of beauty, happiness, love, hope and promise.

Baby Girl, I don't know how we've lived without you.

OH my goodness I cannot begin to describe the love I have for this little girl. She is so precious. She has jet black shiny hair. When she cries, it sounds as if her feelings have been hurt. Her little toes are beyond precious. Her hands are perfect. Her dark eyes search for her Mommy when Alyssa talks. Her lips. Oh my goodness her crimson full lips are so kissable and she'll never need lip injections! She is just precious, absolutely precious.

She is a perfect gift from God.

I thank you from the bottom of this "Grandma's" heart for the prayers, love and concern you have poured and I mean poured down on my family.

I am beyond blessed to have you all in my life.

I'd invite you all to come down to see her, but it might be a wasted trip for you because I don't share well. I only give her up for breastfeeding and trust me when I say if these boobies could still produce milk I probably would be greedy in that area too! LOL can you even imagine? You know it's true love when you change a diaper at 7am and don't even notice all the waste in the diaper because your so mesmerized by how tiny and cute her little butt cheeks are!

Okay, I have got to shower and get back to the hospital. I stink and Baby Girl wants me to smell good when I hold her and kiss on her all day long.

Love,

Lelia

Even though you are too beautiful to hold the name "Grandma," I know you wear it proudly! I'm so happy for you and your daughter and that everything went well. Thanks for including us on this personal journey. You didn't have to do that, but you did, and God receives glory in this. Your life will help someone going else going through this. You are amazing, Lelia!
