In the House

Last weekend Kelley and her youngest girl, Sophie came to visit for the weekend. Saturday morning Kelley and I taught a
workshop at my church's women's conference and had a blast. Heather was our main speaker and she had us all laughing, but gave the best message. I wish you
could have heard it.

While getting ready for Kelley to arrive I got busy on some serious spring cleaning.
Gene even pitched in and helped out.
Before our company arrived on Friday, our son Aaron was standing at the back
door and said, "Is this new Mom?"

"What?" I asked

"This window" he said, pointing to the window on the door that leads to the garage.

"Ummm, no honey, Dad just cleaned it."

"Wow, it looks new."

I think it was the first time that window had been cleaned in the 10 years we've lived here.
So sad it took a girl and her Mom from Kansas coming to visit before we sprayed glass cleaner on it.

At church on Sunday there was one thing in particular that stuck out in the message. Kelley loved it too and said she's going to have a plaque made with it on it:

Jesus is in the House.

Even though I know that Jesus resides in this heart of mine, I know Jesus is in the house so to speak, but sometimes like that window looking into the garage Jesus can't be seen from all the junk I invite into my life.
But when I repent and lean on Him, He washes me white as snow and I look new...just like the windows. Sometimes we need to invite Jesus to do His own spring cleaning in our hearts.

Lord, help me to keep my focus on You and may my life show that You are in the house

Love this post, girlfriend. LOVE the idea of a plague made saying "Jesus is in the house." Just to post that near the entrance and have every guest realize that and that for both guest and homeowner to keep the visit/time in respect of Jesus there...making the time honorable to Him.

Love it.

Love the purple and Alivia's cute dress.

And just where were the pics of the big girls in their Sunday clothes? Huh? We want to see your perty face too.
Love ya,
P
